Thank in advance to help to find a solution.

george, in your case,, disable directx 10 in fsx and everything should go fine, and my friend told me he did it, and everything seems fine now, but directx10 make loose all addon aircraft paint and 3d cockpit!!!! microsoft is getting crazy or what!!! sorry!!!!

Luc,

Thank you for advice, but I do not use so preview directx 10. I use directx 9 with the Katana X
to avoid texture with no color (white).

However, I found a solution in the meantime best so as not to see in 3d panel,
theres a plate, bright and shine, like aluminium style around cadran.

When I fly, during the day, i closed all lights; strobe, Land, taxi, position, etc. and the plate
like aluminium style disapear. :| :D

It is not a perfect solution but it is best like nothing, pending better.

Hoping that this will help you.

Thank you Luc,

In light of your last message, I think that is my Nvidia graphics card driver of Vista 64 bits that is at stake and the fact that the katana x is not perfectly 100% compatible FSX. It is a FS9 aircraft which was converted to FSX.

I currently have the OS windows vista 64-bits (CPU Quad Core Duo 2.93 GHz) with a graphics card nivdia 8800 Ultra. 4 gig of memory to manage FSX and my four screens connected to my Maxtrox TripleHead2Go, Digital Edition. I am satisfied. For my part, I have no trouble at all. SP1 Windows vista are more stable. Even if directx 10 is not yet finalized, Nvidia always improves its driver.

It depends if you use FSINN. One of my friends is in trouble with FSINN and Vista 64 bits. Me, I have no trouble. It is to you see
what is the best. Hope that will help you !

well george, hers your answer, well im pretty shure!!!!! vista 64 bit does a lot of problem with fsx!!! i have a friend that had this version that change to the 32 bit version, and have resolved all of is problem by that!!! fsx work pretty good and stable with 32 bit version, but the dirextx10 option in fsx does a lot of bad stuff to addon, so!!!! buy vista 32 bit version without using the directx10 option and everything should work fine... but in that case, why buy vista if you have an xp version already install???? the only good thing about vista is that directx10 thing, better visual????? better quality image and effect, but if you cant use them?? and if use with fsx, everything goes wrong!!!! i think that microsoft have a lot of homework to do.... like i said before, i have big change comming up with my computer upgrade, and him still not shure what to do for what system will be install on my futur pc..... vista or xp????

flying without my addon.... no way!!!!! i have almost 700$$ canadian invest in fsx addon, so i intend to used them!!!!!

if you have something to say about that, please go ahead, because him really not fix on that decision and would like to know other people experience....

thanks again !!!!
