SP2.1 Beta Update 2.15 [updated 19/12 1500Z]

Postby florian praxmarer » Fri Jun 12, 2009 11:42 am

Hi!

Since we ran into some troubles with SP2 I will release a SP2.1, but for the time being I would ask all customers which have still problems with SP2 to test some beta versions for me. This will assure that we finally can release a well working bug free final SP2.1.

Please only install test versions if you have knowledge of FS file system and file handling. No automatic installers provided so far. Further more please only start testing beta versions if you have well knowledge of the Fokker aircraft simulation, to not mix up user errors with simulation bugs.

READ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO MAKE YOUR FINDINGS REASONABLE!

This beta should fix
=================

- Holding turn radius fixed
- FMC key inputs depend on SCROLL lock now per default to reduce problems with FS Menue or other software when FMC is open
- more smaller fixes
- Overfly issue should be solved
- FPV works now smooth
- MCC FD is synchronized

sometimes all FMC flightplan waypoints are marked overfly, this issue should be solved in SP2.1

- Navtracking fixed

SP2 had some problems with navtracking, we enhanced it now. Aircraft should be within track limits of +/-1NM left right within 3 NM when normal established interceptions are done in NAV mode.
LOC/VOR should no make an turns in direction toward the localizer greater than intercept heading.

A note here, real aircraft are not as perfect in NAV tracking/capturing too, they don't follow everything very precise with respect to passenger comfort, RNP1 means that you have a tolerance of 1NM left and right of track

-Autobrake fixed

I have fixed the Autobrake behaviour. Before trying the Autobrake, recalibrate the Offset for the Fokker again and do following:

1 attach all you joysticks you use normally
2 make sure your joysticks are well calibrated with the respective tools
3 release parking brake and set thrust levers to idle, release brake pedals
4 advance thrust levers slightly above idle
5 go to CDU->REF INDEX->MAINT page, press NEXT PAGE until you are on page ¾
    6 keep SCRATCH PAD clear
    7 press LSK1L (THRUST CALIB) and LSK2L and LSK3L (BRAKE L/R CALIB)

Now the system is prepared for Autobrake tests.

2.07 autobrake less sensible for thrust offsets
disengagement via brake pedals need to apply more brake power than autobrake(!)
    disengage reason logged

-TGT Display fixed
The Left TGT should not have drawing issues any more

-MCC
flightdirector synchronized

2.09
Elevetaro drawing issue fixed

2.11
- SID STAR issues on some airports fixed (SID STAR emtpy when selected, LKPR e.g.)
- Standbyaltimeter fixed
- Some other bugfixes
- HOLDING ENTRIES still in progress, expect maybe incorrect beahviour there...so allways take time at fix overly and be aware to fly them manually with heading bug and timing :-)

2.13
- Display Framerate increased
- Win7 Problem fixed, now compatible

2.15
- Display drawing errors (enlarged ones) fixed, should all draw normal and oopen always
- ENG Start imrpoved and a bit slower
- Holding and procedure turn fixed, "far away" legs removed should work and draw normally now
- Win7 improvements

Installation
========

IMPORTANT this update NEEDS the last SP2 installed !!
Install SP2 (see thread viewtopic.php?f=46&t=6194) before installing this update

Below you can download the SP205 for FS9 or FSX. This is a zip file containing the new files. You can simply extract it into the FS root path using folder names.

BUT make sure that no security software or the Vista UAC does not prevent overwriting files! If the files are not properly installed, you may expire the freezing after some 10 minutes.

When installation is done you should read the Product Version 2.1.3 on the FMS AC STATUS page which is shown on start up. You can access it via CDU->REF INDEX->AC STATUS

While you're at it :D

- EMR LTS ARM SW position is not saved

and a feautre request;

-V1 and Vr calls should be completed by the time the respective speeds are reached.

Thanks,

V1=Vr in the fokker,... so both are reached at the same time.

thanks for the input but to be honest i would prefer findings on the actual adressed problems and no feature requests. We can talk about when other things run stable and smooth

Florian, could you please have a look at the panel order for SP2.1 as described somewhere here in the forum? With SP2 some panels are in front of the overhead for example.

Thanks,
Bernhard.

i will change the order in the panel.cfg, but for the time beeing AUTOBRAKE, Navtracking are my main issues. there will follow some more betas until everything is fine and then finally a SP2.1

Hi.

Just a quick note, when finalising the last patch, please don't forget the right wing flap indicators, there still reversed / backwards on the wing.

I know it's a silly and small detail, but others are bound to mention it, and it will stop you having to release another file just to correct this.

Thanks.
